Chicho is a dreamer.
He has worked since he stepped foot on American soil; first scrubbing toilets at night next to his mother and later graduating from college. He draws blood as a phlebotomist at a free community clinic and awaits acceptance into a Physician Assistant program at a leading university. Chicho is one of 640,000 people who are allowed to work in the United States through the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals act, known as DACA. Every two years he must reapply for his permit. At this moment, DACA swings in political limbo likely headed to the Supreme Court.
Chicho, a Dreamer, is a new, short-format documentary by Thomas Morgan and Square Zero Films.
